A DDoS campaign can close web, DNS, or API to legitimate users. Authorized DDoS testing shows, with controlled load, how your protection product and capacity plan behave in defined scenarios; unauthorized stress testing carries crime and outage risk. Alternatively there is a need to read a carrier or vendor DDoS report and strip the gaps. Launches, registration windows, or e-commerce peaks grow this topic. The test is not run without provider approval, IP notices, and a rollback plan.
